阿尔伯塔移民局AINP突然在当地时间2018年6月14日中午宣布，从今天开始修改技术移民的省提名政策，从之前的Employer-Driven Stream（雇主驱动类）和Strategy Recruiting Stream（战略招聘类）（于2017年10月修改过）改为采用新的AOS（阿尔伯塔机会移民类别）。
虽然申请方式仍然是先到先得，但这次多个方面的重大改变使阿省的技术移民门槛进一步提高了。
总的来说这次阿省便政策，提高了语言要求，增加的工作时长要求！
重要改变如下：
1. 更改工签要求
- 旧政中接受配偶工签和外省毕业生工签
- 新政AOS只接收：LMIA支持的指定雇主工签；本省毕业生毕业工签；本科毕业或指定专业大专毕业；工作必须和要学历相关。
2. 更改语言要求
这次最大的改动就是对语言的要求。之前的Employer-Driven Stream（雇主驱动类）的技术工人小类并没有要求申请人的语言水平，但新的AOS政策要求从今天起递交申请的申请人的语言能力必须达到CBL4，并需要在一年后升至CBL5。
3. 更改学历要求
此前的政策对于国际申请人来说，只有相关职业教育及培训背景的要求，而对学历没有明确要求。AOS新政中明确要求国际申请人最低持有高中学历，并对国际毕业生提出了本省学历的要求。
4. 更改工作经验要求
- 旧政策对于国际技术工人来说并没有明确的工作经验的要求，而新政明确要求工作时间最少需要2年，并在过去18个月内在本省本工作岗位上工作12个月以上
- 旧政策对于国际毕业生来说可以在毕业找到工作后马上提交申请，而新政要求必须在过去18个月内在本省本工作岗位上工作6个月以上
5. 更改收入要求
旧政策对于工作的年收入并不做考察，理论上来说，技术类，包括低技术类，无论做什么都可以达到全家移民的标准。
在新政策下对于工作收入有所考量，对于三口之家来说，时薪需要达到18.2加币/小时，否则则无法通过申请。
目前阿尔伯塔省提名的进展：
阿省移民局当日公布的数据显示，2018年全年有配额5600个，已经发出2277个提名信，仍有大约4700个申请者在等待。
